A Champion at Heart
My Camelot, Serbia · since 2016
Our first Whippet is named Missy. We got her in 2016 from the My Camelot breeders in Serbia. In terms of temperament, she is very protective and spirited, yet gentle with children and people. She features a black mask on a blue-fawn coat.
On its back, just above the tail, there is a heart-shaped marking that is clearly visible if one pays close enough attention.
We participated in many shows and coursing competitions with her—she soon became a champion in both conformation and coursing, a rarity in Slovenia.
Her pedigree is derived predominantly from English Whippet lines from the Barnesmore and Nevedith kennels. Among her ancestors is her great-grandsire, Pencloe Dutch Gold, who is recognized as the first Whippet to win Best in Show (across all breeds) at the world's most prestigious dog show—Crufts 1992. Up to 27,000 dogs participate in the Crufts show!
Her favorite toy is the longest "Cobra Stick," which allows us to throw the ball up to 150 meters. Daily sprints ensure that Missy stays in excellent physical condition all year round.
